Patti & Harry: Wedding

Patti walked down the rain-drenched aisle smiling from ear to ear while Harry looked at her adoringly. She savored every step, walking ever so slowly toward her best friend and love. Through a light drizzle of rain, Patti and Harry joined hands, exchanged vows, and committed to loving each other forever. And when the rain began to fall harder, Patti and Harry walked back down the aisle, hand-in-hand, husband and wife.

While their ceremony was a romantic, beautiful statement of their love, their reception was a lively party. Salsa music filled the air, balloons dropped from the ceiling, and everyone danced in celebration of Patti and Harry's new life together. And at the end of the night, when they ran through a cloud of bubbles, sparklers, and smiling faces, Patti and Harry started the next chapter of their story.

.........................................................

They say rain on your wedding day is good luck. If the weather on Patti and Harry's wedding day was any indication of what their future holds, they will have a lifetime full of not only luck, but love, happiness, and laughter.

Patti and Harry, it was an honor to be part of such a special day in your lives. I'm so thankful to have two of the sweetest people to now call friends.

Maura: Portrait Session

Last year Douglas and I decided it was time to move out of our tiny apartment and look for our very first home. A daunting task was ahead of us - we had no idea what we were doing and didn't even now where to start. Real estate terms haunted our dreams. Mortgage, huh? Property taxes, what? Down payment, how much?!

Cue Maura - our Realtor superstar. Maura was amazing and basically held our hands through the whole home buying process. She eased our minds, patiently listened to us babble about studio space, and explained all of the crazy home-buying lingo. Douglas quickly nicknamed her the "Real Estate Professor" because, oh, yes, we were schooled on the ins and outs of home buying.

Long story short, we love Maura. She not only helped us find our new home (more on the house, renovations, hideous wallpaper, and adventures in toilet replacing to come!), but she also became our new neighbor and friend. Plus, she can make one amazing bacon chocolate chip cookie, her husband creates cocktails you can only dream about, and I secretly plot the abduction of her two adorable beagles.

Anyway, when Maura decided to leave her real estate group and start her own business, I couldn't have been happier for her. And when she asked me to take photos for her new business card and website, I did a happy dance.

So if you are looking to buy or sell a house, the Real Estate Professor is your girl. If you are lucky, she may even bring you some cookies.
