On May 11th - Mother's Day - I came to the realization that I wouldn't be having our baby on such a special day. I had spent most of the day hoping that our little guy would make an appearance and I kept telling Douglas how it would be the best Mother's Day present to meet our son. As the day went on, I came to terms that it wasn't going to happen. But the baby had other plans! While enjoying a nice Mother's Day dinner, I suddenly felt strange and knew that my wish was coming true! Sure enough, our baby was on his way! Although he didn't make it for Mother's Day, he made a very dramatic entrance into the world the next afternoon.
I am so happy to announce the arrival of Grayden Douglas Dabbs. He was born on May 12th at 1:51pm, weighed 6 pounds - 12 ounces, and was 20 inches long. He is the love of our lives and we couldn't be happier to have this new little man in our family. LOVE HIM!!!!
