Denielle & Jeff: Wedding

Some relationships are filled with sweet moments from the beginning, and Jeff and Denielle's is one of those relationships. It all started with a special cup of coffee and ended with a ring.

Denielle was new to the area and was anxious to make friends, so she jumped at the opportunity to go to a party. Although fifteen minutes late, she was the first to arrive, and the first to offer cooking tips to the host, who was destroying a batch of spaghetti. The next thing she knew, Denielle was cooking for the guests! When the host's cute roommate, Jeff, wandered into the kitchen and offered his help, Denielle couldn't have been happier. Over simmering sauce and bubbling noodles, the two got to know each other. Although Denielle can't remember exactly what they talked about - she was focusing on how cute he was - she does remember the cup of coffee he made her, topped with whipped cream and caramel syrup. It was this sweet gesture that intrigued Denielle, and they started dating shortly after.

Dating turned to love, and Jeff's talent for sweet gestures did not fade. One evening, while watching the sun set over an ice-covered lake, Jeff asked Denielle to marry him, and this summer, as Jeff's eyes filled with tears, Denielle walked down the aisle to marry her best friend and love. In front of their friends and family, they committed to each other forever, and although Denielle's smile couldn't have been bigger, Jeff just looked at her with quiet adoration.

Denielle and Jeff, thank you so much for letting me take part in your wedding. It was such an honor to document your love, your joy, and your sweet moments. Your wedding brought tears to my eyes, and I know that you will have a beautiful life together. Like that special cup of coffee on the first day you met, I hope married life is topped with whipped cream and caramel syrup. Congratulations!

Baby Penelope: Newborn Session

A few posts ago I blogged about Liz & Chris’s maternity shoot. They were too cute and we had so much fun playing at the park! Well, a couple of weeks ago, they welcomed a new addition to their family! Meet baby Penelope! (How adorable is that name?!) She is the sweetest little baby and her hair is totally punk-rock. It is the prettiest shade of blonde/silver and sticks up all over the place….totally melts my heart. At only 8 days old, here are some of her first baby pictures. Man, I just want to pinch those little cheeks!

Liz & Chris: Maternity Session

I'm not sure exactly what it is about Liz. Maybe it's the calm way she speaks or her infectious up-beat attitude, but she has the most maternal and caring personality that's always made me think she'd be the best mother. While Liz is nurturing and friendly, Chris, her husband, is extremely extroverted and a kid at heart. Chris keeps Liz laughing and light-hearted, while Liz keeps his life organized and calm. They are the perfect match for each other!

So when Liz told me they were expecting their first baby, I thought, "Of course you are!". It was like everything came together in their lives; the little family that was waiting to form was now becoming a reality. I could just picture a little one pitter-pattering around their home!

I was able to see Liz throughout all the stages of her pregnancy, and the pregnancy glow really suites her. Just look at the pictures...she's beautiful! Shooting their maternity session was so much fun! Chris kept us laughing the entire time, while Liz looked fabulous in every picture!

I couldn't be happier for Liz and Chris, and I know for certain their little baby girl will have the BEST parents she could ask for. Congratulations you two on the new addition to your family!
